Teacher of English with responsibility for Cambridge

We seek an innovative and enthusiastic teacher of English who is able to lead the Cambridge programme within our collaborative and well-resourced department. The successful candidate will have experience teaching at both IGCSE and A levels, be confident with marking and moderation of work, and a proven track record in a similar role.

Applicants for positions at Avondale College must be NZ registered teachers. You will endorse the school’s academic priority and be expected to participate in the extensive co-curricular life of the school. 

The terms and conditions, including base salary, for this position is set by the Secondary Teachers' Collective Agreement. The base salary for trained and registered teachers will range from $64,083 to $103,086 depending on applicants' qualifications and experience. Individuals' actual base salary will be established by a salary assessment once a role is confirmed.
