About This Role

Tes is supporting the appointment of a Teacher of Mathematics to join a school based in London.

The role
If you are an experienced teacher seeking your next role or a well-qualified Mathematics graduate ready to begin your teaching career, then this is an exciting opportunity to join a thriving Mathematics Department at one of London’s leading independent girls’ day schools.

As a Teacher of Mathematics, you will deliver engaging, thought-provoking lessons that encourage problem solving and inspire a genuine love of Mathematics in our students. You will also contribute to the wider life of the school through pastoral support and the department's extensive extra-curricular provision, including our popular Maths clubs, annual challenges and enrichment lectures.

You will be joining a supportive department where collaboration is highly valued, colleagues work closely together to share ideas and resources, observe one another’s teaching and stay informed about the latest developments in educational practice. Professional development is a key priority, and there are excellent opportunities to grow your career. The School works in partnership with the University of Buckingham to offer routes into teaching through a PGCE or apprenticeship, while more experienced staff can pursue further qualifications through organisations such as the Chartered College of Teaching, or the HMC and GSA group of schools.

The successful candidate will be a well-qualified Mathematics graduate with the ability to communicate clearly, motivate pupils of all abilities and work effectively as part of a team. Previous teaching experience and a recognised teaching qualification are desirable but not essential.
