Sage College, The British International School of Jerez, is seeking to appoint an outstanding, energetic and inspiring Teacher of Physical Education to join our growing school from September 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented PE teacher to become part of a dynamic international school community in southern Spain. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of sport within the school and play an active role in promoting health, teamwork and sporting excellence.

We welcome applications from candidates who may also have experience in leadership or an interest in developing leadership responsibilities in the future, particularly in the area of sport development.

The Role

The successful candidate will:

  • Teach Physical Education across different Key Stages following the British Curriculum.

  • Promote a culture of participation, teamwork and excellence in sport.

  • Contribute actively to the extra-curricular sports programme, fixtures and school events.

  • Support the development of our High Performance Sports Programmes where appropriate.

  • Organise and contribute to sports events, tournaments, competitions and sports trips.

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the sporting life of the school.

Where appropriate, the successful candidate may also have the opportunity to teach IGCSE or A-Level Physical Education.

The Ideal Candidate Will

  • Hold a recognised teaching qualification.

  • Have experience teaching Physical Education within the British National Curriculum (preferred).

  • Be a fluent English speaker.

  • Possess an EU passport or have legal work status in Spain (NIE or TIE), ideally with previous work experience in Spain.

  • Be an enthusiastic and student-centred practitioner with strong subject knowledge.

  • Be motivated to contribute to the wider life of the school, including extracurricular sport.

  • Have experience or interest in organising sports events, tournaments, competitions or school sports trips.

  • Leadership experience or an interest in developing leadership responsibilities will be highly valued.

  • Experience teaching other secondary subjects such as Science, English, Humanities or Mathematics will also be highly valued.

Candidate Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree directly related to your teaching specialization.
  • Clear criminal record check spanning the last 10 years of residency.
