About This Role

Required for September 2026

This is an excellent opportunity for an inspirational, enthusiastic and well-qualified teacher of sociology to join our very successful department. It is a well-established department with a proven record of success. The opportunity to teach a second subject at key stage 3 is available, with history beneficial but not essential. There are dedicated teaching rooms, which are situated in the Sixth Form Centre. The emphasis on sharing best practice within the department has led to a high level of consistency, outstanding teaching and learning and plenty of available resources. Sociology is very popular and highly successful at both
GCSE and A Level.

This post would suit an ECT or an experienced practitioner and is a one year post in the first instance with the potential for recruitment beyond this period. We would discuss this at interview.

Further details including an application form and job description are available from the school website.

Closing date: noon, Wednesday 15 April 2026.

Interviews: week commencing 20 April 2026.
