Team Leader of Computer Science, Business Studies & Economics

We are seeking a teacher who is passionate about teaching Computer Science or Business Studies, or a combination of these subject.  It important to be able to share this enthusiasm with their students so they develop a genuine love of the subject, and with their team of teachers so that there is consistency across the team . You will need to be a teacher who is capable of building strong relationships with students, their families, and colleagues to help maximise this enthusiasm. Working as the lead of the department team, responsible for curriculum sequence, lesson design and student outcomes is also vital.  The successful candidate will be a specialist teacher in one or both of these subjects, who holds QTS and has at completed the ECF.

The Team Leader is responsible for the leadership of their subject area. As the Team Leader of Business, Computer Science and Economics, you are responsible for the design and delivery of the curriculum across KS4-5 in exam subjects, impacting significantly on the potential life chances of our students; the Team Leader is one of the most important leadership positions in the school. Computer Science is also delivered at KS3.  The successful candidate will have the support of a Deputy Principal, help from the wider SLT and also specialist support from the TCT central team. Through this, they will have the scope to shape and refine the curriculum; continuing to drive forwards standards, outcomes and opportunities for our students.
