As an integral member of our newly structured team, you will play a key role in embedding our British ethos in Upper Key Stage 2, facilitating students’ smooth transition to secondary education. We are seeking an outstanding Year 5 or Year 6 Teacher who maintains high expectations, is passionate about promoting student development, and is excited to join an innovative and forward-thinking team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional teaching and learning experiences that are consistent with the National Curriculum for England, ensuring academic challenges and support for all students.
  • Foster an engaging and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and a passion for learning.
  • Equip students with critical skills in leadership, independent learning, and critical thinking to facilitate a seamless transition to secondary education.
  • Employ innovative, evidence-based teaching methods to engage and inspire students.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community to enhance student well-being and academic success.
  • Integrate global perspectives and interdisciplinary approaches into lessons to nurture well-rounded learners.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Education or a BA with a PGCE (or equivalent teaching qualification) is essential.
  • Fully qualified teacher with QTS and at least two years of experience delivering the National Curriculum for England at Key Stage 2.
  • A strong understanding of the developmental needs of Upper Key Stage 2 students, particularly regarding their readiness for secondary education.
  • Commitment to raising academic standards and contributing to a high-achieving team.
  • An innovative educator who utilizes research-informed teaching practices and progressive strategies.
  • Excellent classroom management skills to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build effective connections with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • A reflective practitioner eager to engage with the school’s Professional Learning Community and pursue ongoing professional growth.
