About This Role
What we need
We are looking to appoint a highly motivated professional to co-ordinate and lead on statutory SEND processes, including management of consultations and Educational Health Care Plan reviews within our school. For this role you will need to demonstrate valuable experience of working with children and young people with Special Educational Needs and have relevant knowledge of key SEN legislation and guidance.
The core purpose of the role will be:
- To co-ordinate and attend all annual review meetings and produce high quality Educational Health Care Plans
- Liaise with various stakeholders including pupils, parents/carers, teachers, health and social care and the local authority
- Undertake consultations from local authorities for prospective pupils and review documentation to assess needs
- Work with the Senior Leadership Team and Finance Team to ensure High Needs Funding Matrix is current and that pupils are receiving the correct level of funding
- Work with parents/carers and support them through statutory processes
- Maintain accurate and up to date records and provide quality assurance of EHCP's and statutory documentation
- Maintain knowledge of updated legislation and guidance
- Contribute to the organisation and development of good practice within the Trust
This role is for 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, Term Time Only.
