About This Role

The Role

We are seeking an experienced data professional with exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills. As a highly organised and proactive Data Manager you will play a key role in supporting the effective operation of our school.

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a passion for data accuracy, reporting, and information management to lead the administration and development of our Management Information System (MIS) and provide high-quality data analysis to support school improvement and pupil outcomes.

About the Role

As Data Manager, you will:

  • Lead the management and development of the school's Management Information System (MIS).
  • Ensure pupil, staff and curriculum data is accurate, secure and up to date.
  • Coordinate statutory returns including the School Census and Workforce Census.
  • Produce accurate reports, dashboards and data analysis for senior leaders, governors and other stakeholders.
  • Manage assessment, attendance and pupil data processes.
  • Support timetable administration and curriculum planning.
  • Ensure compliance with GDPR, data protection legislation and school policies.
  • Work closely with staff, parents, local authorities and external agencies to facilitate the efficient exchange of information.

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Experience working with Management Information Systems (MIS).
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, validation and reporting functions.
  • Experience managing large and complex datasets.
  • Excellent analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • A strong understanding of data management principles and reporting.
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
  • A commitment to confidentiality, safeguarding and data protection.
