About This Role

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive individual to support the needs of our pupils and work closely with our Heads of House team. This pivotal role involves promoting effective communication between home and school, acting as a key point of contact for parents and carers, liaising with external agencies, and arranging and leading meetings. You will also provide vital administrative support, including monitoring attendance and punctuality, following up on behavioural concerns, and gathering relevant information and documentation.

A key aspect of the role is supporting students to overcome barriers to learning, helping them develop positive attitudes and behaviours that enable them to engage successfully in lessons. You will work collaboratively with staff, pupils, and families to develop tailored support strategies, fostering both academic progress and personal development. As this is a highly student-focused role, you will interact directly with pupils on a daily basis and play an important part in their overall wellbeing and success.

We are looking for a candidate who is:
  • Highly committed, enthusiastic, flexible, and passionate about supporting young people to achieve their full potential.
  • Able to demonstrate initiative and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • An excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Confident in building positive relationships with pupils, parents/carers, colleagues, and external agencies.
  • Warm, approachable, and able to remain calm under pressure.
  • Organised and capable of planning targeted support programmes while maintaining accurate records.
  • Emotionally literate, empathetic, supportive, and able to handle sensitive information with discretion.
What we offer:
  • A visible and approachable Senior Leadership Team and a dedicated, supportive staff community.
  • A strong professional support network within the school and across Ambitions Academies Trust.
  • Access to high-quality, evidence-informed CPD tailored to individual development needs.
  • Excellent opportunities for career progression.
  • A culture that values work-life balance and staff wellbeing, supported by a dedicated Wellbeing Champion.
  • An Employee Assistance Programme providing access to immediate support and confidential counselling services.
  • Additional staff benefits, including free eye tests for DSE users through Specsavers and free will-writing services through Dunham McCarthy Solicitors.
  • A competitive pension scheme through either Teachers' Pensions or the Local Government Pension Scheme.

Should you wish to arrange an informal discussion or visit, we would be delighted to hear from you.
