About This Role

Lydiate Learning Trust is seeking an exceptional HR People Partner to join our People and Culture Team. Working term time plus 10 days (41 weeks per year), this role offers the opportunity to support and influence leaders across our schools while enjoying an excellent work-life balance with school holiday periods off.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR practitioner who thrives on building strong relationships, influencing leaders and providing practical, solution-focused people advice. Working closely with Headteachers, senior leaders and managers across our Trust, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of excellent education through outstanding people practices.

As our HR People Partner, you will be a trusted adviser, leading on complex employee relations matters, supporting organisational change, driving workforce development initiatives and helping to create a positive and inclusive workplace culture across our schools.

About the Role

  • You will work in partnership with school leaders and central teams to:
  • Provide expert advice on all aspects of employee relations and people management.
  • Manage complex disciplinary, grievance, absence, capability and investigation processes.
  • Support leaders to develop confidence and capability in managing people effectively.
  • Lead on wellbeing, engagement and workforce development initiatives.
  • Ensure HR policies and practices remain legally compliant and aligned with best practice.
  • Support recruitment, talent management and succession planning across the Trust.
  • Use people data and insight to drive continuous improvement and informed decision-making.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has significant experience managing complex employee relations casework.
  • Possesses strong generalist HR knowledge and a thorough understanding of UK employment law.
  • Is skilled at building positive and credible relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Has excellent communication, influencing and coaching skills.
  • Is organised, resilient and able to manage a varied workload in a fast-paced environment.
  • Shares our commitment to inclusion, wellbeing, safeguarding and continuous improvement.
  • Has experience working within schools, academies or the education sector, or a strong desire to develop a career supporting educational organisations.

Compensation

£38,510.00 - £43,149.00 Annually (FTE)
