About This Role

An increasing number of pupils are finding the transition from primary school to secondary school challenging. For some it is the move from small nurture group provision to being in a class of 15-30, for others they have arrived with extensive ‘Covid’ knowledge gaps which have been difficult to close, whilst for others it is ‘factors beyond their control’. We are therefore seeking to appoint an inspirational and dynamic primary school teacher, with specific experience of Year 6 teaching to help to bridge those gaps with focused interventions that empower pupils to successfully integrate into mainstream education.

We are looking to appoint a colleague who will:

  • enthuse, motivate and inspire children, generating a genuine love for learning
  • provide engaging and creative learning experiences for all pupils
  • have high expectations of children's achievement and behaviour
  • have vision, enthusiasm and determination
  • has the ambition to progress into leadership and management
  • provide a safe and happy environment that promotes the welfare of children
  • Take an active role in the wider life of the Academy.
