Old Buckenham High School is a small yet vibrant school situated in the heart of the beautiful Norfolk countryside. With an idyllic rural location, we are less than 30 minutes’ drive from Norwich, offering the perfect balance of peaceful surroundings and easy access to the city.

Currently, we have around 500 students aged between 11 and 16 years. THE ROLE

We are looking for a hard-working and enthusiastic person with high standards and the ability to communicate and interact effectively with others as part of our school as a Teacher of Girls' Physical Education. You will be an excellent Physical Education teacher and have an unwavering passion for your subject. You will have a clear focus and understanding of what makes outstanding teaching and learning and provide excellent outcomes for students. You will be able to teach PE across both Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, delivering engaging lessons that foster a love of learning and promote participation, confidence and success in sport.

As the school's only female PE teacher, you will play a key role in inspiring and encouraging girls to develop a lifelong enjoyment of physical activity. We are looking for someone who is passionate about girls' sport, committed to raising participation levels, and able to act as a positive role model for our students. The successful candidate will be expected to make a significant contribution to our extra-curricular programme, leading clubs, teams and sporting opportunities that encourage students to achieve their full potential beyond the classroom.

The successful applicant will join the team responsible for delivering our GCSE Physical Education curriculum and should be committed to ensuring that students achieve excellent outcomes in this popular subject. A willingness to contribute to the continued development of PE across the school and support wider enrichment opportunities will be essential.
