Garden International School, Bangkok is seeking an outstanding French First Language Teacher to commence in August 2026.
This is an exciting and unique opportunity for an energetic, innovative, and highly skilled educator to lead and implement our French First Language program, a valued and distinctive part of our curriculum. We are looking for a teacher committed to maintaining high standards of language proficiency and cultural integrity for our native French-speaking students.
The successful applicant will be tasked with teaching French as a first language from Year 1 through Year 9, adhering to the French national curriculum in small, well-supported classroom settings. This role offers significant opportunities to influence and enhance a specialized program that is a key strength of our school.

The French First Language Teacher will:
- Deliver the French curriculum to native speakers from Year 1 to Year 9
- Conduct all lessons in French, maintaining high standards of linguistic precision and academic rigor
- Create and implement engaging, culturally rich lessons that cultivate a deep appreciation for French language and literature
- Help students develop advanced skills in reading, writing, speaking, and analytical thinking
- Contribute to the continuous development and enhancement of our French First Language program
- Collaborate effectively within a British international school setting while maintaining the integrity of the French curriculum
This position is particularly ideal for a teacher who values academic achievement and cultural identity, and who thrives in a supportive, close-knit school community.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Qualified Teacher Status or a comparable recognized teaching qualification
- Experience teaching French as a first language, ideally within the French curriculum
- Native or near-native proficiency in French
- A thorough understanding of progression in French language and literature
- The ability to inspire and challenge students across a range of ages and abilities
- A collaborative and reflective teaching and learning approach
- Experience in an international school setting (desirable)
