Centre Manager - Early Childhood

The Blue Cottage is seeking a confident, values-led centre manager to lead our Papamoa centre (licensed for 90 children, including 24 under 2s). This is an opportunity to guide an established team with strong foundations, while intentionally shaping a culture built on trust, accountability, and high-quality teaching.

As centre manager, you will:

• Lead and inspire a team to deliver exceptional teaching and care

• Build and maintain a positive, accountable culture

• Hold clear expectations and courageous conversations

• Ensure programmes align with Te Whāriki and our philosophy

• Maintain compliance and professional standards

• Strengthen relationships with whānau and the wider community

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the centre

This role requires a leader who understands that culture is not accidental, it is built daily through consistency, clarity, and care. You will be supported by the owner and wider leadership team, while having the autonomy to lead confidently.

About you

You are a qualified and registered ECE teacher in NZ with leadership experience, sound regulatory knowledge, and the confidence to lead with warmth and integrity.
