About This Role

Lanna International School is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Computer Science teacher to join our Secondary team in August 2026. If you have iGCSE and A Level Computer Science teaching experience and are passionate about developing students’ skills and understanding in this field, this is an excellent opportunity to help shape their future in an increasingly technology-driven world. You will be working with exceptionally motivated, kind, and curious LANNA students who make teaching here genuinely rewarding.

As part of our Science and Technology department, your key roles for 2026/27 will be:

- Teaching AS & A Level Computer Science (Cambridge International syllabus 9618)

- Teaching iGCSE Computer Science at Years 10 & 11 (Cambridge International syllabus 0478)

What we are looking for:

- A PGCE (or equivalent full teaching qualification) and a degree in Computer Science.

- Ideally, experience teaching within a UK framework.

- A creative and innovative approach to engaging students in their learning.

- Enthusiasm for delivering IGCSE and A Level qualifications.

Please note: Applicants without a full teaching qualification and relevant degree will not be considered.

What we offer:

- A chance to join a high-achieving and supportive science and technology department with a strong track record of success.

- Beyond academics, our school is proud to offer a rich co-curricular programme. As part of our team, you’ll have the chance to contribute to the broader life of the school, from clubs and activities to school events.

Why Join Us?

- Work in a supportive environment that values excellence and innovation in teaching.

- Be part of a community that prioritises student engagement and holistic development.

- Have opportunities for professional growth, including development into leadership roles.

- Coaching: Our teachers are supported by our instructional coaching programme, which offers non-evaluative guidance to help you grow professionally. All new teachers should be open to working closely with our instructional coach during their first year, ensuring a smooth transition, consistent support and a strong start in the school.

Safeguarding

We are fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, and we expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All candidates must demonstrate their suitability to work with children and a strong commitment to safeguarding, including ongoing participation in safeguarding training.

All applicants will undergo rigorous and standardised safeguarding checks, which include:

- Three professional references, verified by telephone. For teaching roles, at least two must be from Head Teachers within the past six years, including the most recent school. Referees may be contacted prior to interview.

- Identity and qualification verification.

- Enhanced criminal background checks, as well as police clearances from every country in which the applicant has lived for more than six months within the past ten years.

- A full review of employment history, with any gaps required to be clearly explained and followed up during the interview process.

If you’re excited by the opportunity to make a meaningful impact and contribute to an exceptional learning community, we would be delighted to hear from you. Apply now and help shape the future of our students!
