Hauraki Plains College is more than a school – it is a place where young people are supported to be learning ready, work ready, life ready, and world ready. We offer an educational experience built on care, connection and high expectations.
We are seeking a passionate and innovative science curriculum leader to lead our strong and diverse science teachers. Our school promotes and enjoys a collaborative and supportive culture where we are committed to ‘Excellence is Our Tradition’. We are undertaking professional development of all staff with a particular focus on school wide literacy.
As we redesign our curriculum to support national changes we require applicants to be flexible and passionate about developing engaging local learning experiences, especially through our junior curriculum. We would love to increase the number of students choosing science pathways.
This is a permanent teaching position. Ideally, the successful candidate would begin on Monday, 29th of June 2026, however we are happy to discuss flexibility in start date with the chosen candidate. Remuneration is 3 Management Units and 2 Middle Management Allowances.
Hauraki Plains is a great place to live and work, with a range of welcoming communities nearby. We are part of a strong community and have excellent connections with our local primary schools.
