Position Overview
Raffles American School Bangkok is seeking a dedicated and student-centered Middle School
ELL Teacher to support students in developing academic English proficiency. The successful
candidate will provide targeted English language instruction and work closely with classroom
teachers to ensure multilingual learners are able to access the full curriculum.
This role focuses on small-group instruction, language development, and collaboration with
subject teachers to support students as they build confidence and proficiency in academic
English.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide targeted English language instruction to middle school ELL students
• Plan and deliver lessons that develop reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills
• Support students in accessing academic content across subject areas
• Monitor and track student language development and progress
• Collaborate with classroom and subject teachers to support multilingual learners
• Communicate with parents and colleagues regarding student progress
• Contribute positively to the wider life of the school community
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Education, TESOL, Applied Linguistics, English, or a related field
• Teaching qualification or license preferred
• Experience working with English language learners in an international or multilingual setting preferred
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to differentiate instruction for a range of English proficiency levels

We offer competitive salaries, with fully qualified and licensed teachers for full-time core subject and homeroom teacher roles. There is no additional housing stipend. Overseas candidates will be reimbursed for their flight to Thailand (guidelines will be shared by HR with the successful candidate) and provided round-trip airfare to their home country at the end of each two-year contract. Visa and work permit expenses will be reimbursed by RAS. Medical, accident, disability, and life insurance are also provided.
