Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
To carry out the professional duties of a teacher as circumstances may require and in accordance with the school's policies under the direction of the school’s Principal.
To conduct assessment, recording and reporting on the work of students and attending Parents’ Meetings to meet parents and discuss the progress of individual students
To set appropriate individual student targets in line with the school and departmental targets/policy
To undertake appropriate training including INSET days at the start of each term
Promoting and participating in your own continuous professional development:
To be involved in Co or Extra Curricular Activities and school event days
To undertake any other ad-hoc duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
At least a Bachelor’s degree in Education/ Teaching or equivalent, recognized by the CPE/MOE in Singapore
Higher degree or recognized professional qualification (preferred) Evidence of continued relevant professional development
PGDE and/or PGCE is preferable. Preferably a Teacher’s Licence (NIE certification)
More than 5 years of teaching experience in a similar or related environment
Demonstrate an acute and deep understanding of a primary/ secondary school curriculum
Teaching or pedagogical skills
Passion for developing young learners
