Egypt British International School (EBIS) is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic German Teacher to join our team for the 2026 academic year, aligned with our mission of Enriching – Exploring – Excelling and our core values of enrichment, empowerment, esteem, and excellence.

We are looking for a passionate language educator committed to developing students’ linguistic proficiency, cultural awareness, and confidence within a nurturing, culturally grounded British-curriculum environment. The successful candidate will inspire curiosity about global cultures while supporting students’ academic and personal growth.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in German, Modern Foreign Languages, or a related field.
  • Recognized teaching qualification and/or certification related to the German language.
  • A minimum of 2 years of successful teaching experience, preferably within an international British-curriculum context.
  • Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum for Modern Foreign Languages.
  • High level of proficiency in spoken and written German.
  • Ability to deliver engaging, communicative, and interactive language lessons.
  • Skilled in positive classroom management and fostering a culture of participation and respect.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.

Job Description:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality German lessons aligned with National Curriculum objectives.
  • Develop students’ listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in German.
  • Promote cultural awareness and appreciation of German-speaking countries.
  • Assess, monitor, and record student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in line with school policies and safeguarding expectations.
  • Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding academic progress and wellbeing.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning and whole-school initiatives.
  • Contribute to enrichment activities such as language clubs or cultural events.
  • Attend weekly CPD sessions and engage in ongoing professional development.
