Ko Taku Reo, Deaf Education New Zealand is seeking an experienced and innovative school leader to lead teaching and learning for students enrolled in our 13 Deaf provisions.
This role leads our Enrolled School, which provides a full education for approximately 120 students aged 5 to 21 years old, supported by 36 FTTE teachers, teacher aides, educational interpreters, and specialist professionals working as an integrated services team.
The role is part of Ko Taku Reo's nationwide Senior Leadership Team, contributing to strategic initiatives that support our wider student community of around 3,000 Deaf and hard-of-hearing students across Aotearoa. The position is supported by a national executive leadership team based in both Christchurch and Auckland.
We are looking for a leader with current experience leading teaching and learning, strong collaborative leadership skills and a commitment to inclusive education.
A commitment to New Zealand Sign Language (NZSL) is essential. We are prepared to support the right candidate to start this journey on a quick trajectory to success as required.
This is a permanent, full-time role, based in either Auckland or Christchurch. This role is 0.8 released with a 0.2 CRT release teaching component and is remunerated with MU. More information available on request.
