Job Description

  • Provide an inclusive and engaging learning environment underpinned by evidence-based best practice.

  • Using transdisciplinary and conceptual approach, deliver a curriculum that is challenging, relevant and significant.

  • Establish and maintain authentic, respectful and positive relationships with students, families and colleagues where social, cultural and religious diversity is valued.

  • Differentiate the curriculum to cater for a diverse range of learning needs.

  • Work collaboratively with the Inclusive Education and EAL teams and the school counselor to ensure optimal outcomes for all students.

  • Attend and contribute to meetings as required.

  • Work collaboratively to create and review Individual Education Plans as required.

  • Maintain planning documents identifying specific learning objectives, differentiated tasks and assessments.

  • Monitor and document student progress.

  • Utilise technology, when applicable, to enhance student learning outcomes.

  • Organise and maintain a tidy, well-organised classroom and encourage students to take pride in their learning environment.

  • Be responsible for all aspects of classroom management, including supporting the academic, social and emotional needs of all students in a positive and pro-active manner.

  • Engage in professional dialogue and work collaboratively with colleagues, sharing expertise and respecting confidentiality.

  • Be an advocate for student wellbeing, supporting a culture of safeguarding and child protection, and reinforcing the school-wide commitment to keeping students safe.

  • Be familiar with the Safeguarding reporting procedures and follow protocols in the case of a Child Protection Issue.

  • Reflect upon own professional practice to ensure an understanding of contemporary research and best practice.

  • Participate in Professional Learning and appraisal procedures for the purpose of personal, professional and career development.

  • Share in the management of pastoral care, health, welfare and behaviour of all students and in particular, those within your designated class group.

  • Carry out additional tasks as directed by the Principal.

Qualifications

  • The candidate should hold a minimum of a Bachelor Degree in Education or equivalent, or a Bachelor Degree in a subject followed by a PGCE, which is obtained from a recognised University or College.

  • At least 2 – 5 years relevant professional teaching experience

  • Applicants must provide original copies of their Certificates and academic transcripts for authentication.

  • Immediate availability (i.e. currently based in Riyadh and holding a valid transferable Iqama) is an advantage.

Compensation

£35,000 - £55,000 (Tax-Free Equivalent)
