Due to roll growth, a rare opportunity has come up for 2 new entrant teachers to join our Aroha (Year 0-2) teaching team at Cornerstone Christian School beginning 02 June in Term 2, 2026.
Cornerstone Christian School is a state-integrated, co-ed, Christian special character area school with a roll of 620 Year 1-13 students. The positions will align with Cohort 4 entry to the school and as such will begin new classes.
Requirements
Applicants must hold a current full teacher registration with the New Zealand Teaching Council.
Be an enthusiastic teacher who can build positive and effective relationships with students and whānau.
Have a passion for developing strong ECE connections, especially with the Cornerstone Christian pre-school onsite, and transitioning tamariki into our school.
Have practical experience in structured literacy and strong all round curriculum knowledge.
Create an innovative and inclusive learning environment, where a vibrant Christian faith is modelled to our students.
Incorporate culturally responsive practices within their class to engage tamariki in their learning as well as valuing their wellbeing.
Be a team player with a great sense of humour.
