About This Role

Purpose of Role

The ISP Teacher plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality education to students while fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities of the ISP Teacher

  • Develop lesson plans that are in line with the school's established standards and curriculum.
  • Adapt and reassess lesson plans to meet the unique needs of individual students, ensuring compliance with updated guidelines, refreshing relevant content, and integrating new educational advancements.
  • Customize the curriculum to fit student requirements while ensuring overall progress within the class.
  • Maintain and consistently improve a thorough understanding of curriculum programs and frameworks.
  • Track and record student progress, pinpointing areas needing attention and enhancement.
  • Create a safe and nurturing learning environment for all students.
  • Collaborate effectively with all staff members who work with students.
  • Communicate regularly with parents in accordance with school policies, including providing updates on student progress and addressing any necessary disciplinary issues.
  • Address the diverse ability levels present within the classroom.
  • Maintain order and discipline among students, promoting safety and compliance with school rules and guidelines.
  • Participate in occasional professional development workshops.
  • Attend and actively participate in school meetings concerning curriculum, organization, and policies.
  • Take on additional tasks and responsibilities as directed by your immediate supervisor or the Deputy Head.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Must be a native speaker and hold a valid passport from the US, UK, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, Ireland, or South Africa.
  • Possess a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education or a Bachelor of Arts, along with an internationally recognized teaching certification such as PGCE/PGCertEd/QTS.
  • Preferably have a minimum of 3 years of international teaching experience in primary education.
  • Hold a clean criminal record.
