Job Overview
This role focuses on high-quality teaching of Physics at AS/A Level, while supporting the wider curriculum through KS3 Science and Mathematics The teacher will promote analytical thinking, problem-solving, and a strong foundation in scientific and mathematical concepts.
Key Responsibilities
Teach Physics at AS/A Level, preparing students for external examinations
Deliver KS3 Science and Mathematics, ensuring strong foundational knowledge
Plan and deliver engaging, practical, and concept-driven lessons
Use a variety of assessment strategies to monitor progress and provide targeted feedback
Support laboratory work and ensure safe and effective practical lessons
Contribute to curriculum planning within the Science and Mathematics departments
Support extracurricular activities
Collaborate with colleagues and maintain effective communication with students and parents
Requirements
Undergraduate degree in Education or a relevant bachelor’s degree
Minimum 2 years’ experience in relevant role at an international school
Recognised teaching qualification, such as PGCE with QTS or an equivalent licence
Understanding of the Cambridge International Curriculum
Native English speaker or excellent English proficiency both spoken and written
Strong classroom management and communication skills
Commitment to Values-based Education and Enquiry Learning
Experience teaching AS/A Level Physics and Science and Mathematics

- Clear criminal record check spanning the last 10 years of residency.
