Job Overview

This role focuses on high-quality teaching of Physics at AS/A Level, while supporting the wider curriculum through KS3 Science and Mathematics  The teacher will promote analytical thinking, problem-solving, and a strong foundation in scientific and mathematical concepts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach Physics at AS/A Level, preparing students for external examinations 

  • Deliver KS3 Science and Mathematics, ensuring strong foundational knowledge 

  • Plan and deliver engaging, practical, and concept-driven lessons 

  • Use a variety of assessment strategies to monitor progress and provide targeted feedback 

  • Support laboratory work and ensure safe and effective practical lessons 

  • Contribute to curriculum planning within the Science and Mathematics departments 

  • Support extracurricular activities 

  • Collaborate with colleagues and maintain effective communication with students and parents 

Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree in Education or a relevant bachelor’s degree

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in relevant role at an international school

  • Recognised teaching qualification, such as PGCE with QTS or an equivalent licence

  • Understanding of the Cambridge International Curriculum

  • Native English speaker or excellent English proficiency both spoken and written

  • Strong classroom management and communication skills

  • Commitment to Values-based Education and Enquiry Learning

  • Experience teaching AS/A Level Physics and Science and Mathematics
