The Arabic Teacher supports young children’s learning in an inquiry-based, play-focused early years environment. The teacher leads Arabic language experiences, supports children’s wellbeing, and works closely with colleagues and families.
Main Responsibilities
Plan and deliver simple, engaging Arabic learning experiences through play and small group work.
Create a warm and stimulating classroom environment.
Support children’s wellbeing, behaviour and development.
Respect and value each child’s cultural and religious background.
Document children’s learning when required.
Communicate clearly with parents in Arabic and work in partnership with the Core Teacher.
Support cultural events such as Ramadan and Eid.
Work collaboratively with colleagues and take part in professional development.
Qualifications
Diploma or Degree in Childhood Education (Arabic) or equivalent.
1–2 years’ experience ideally in a preschool or childcare setting preferred.
Strong spoken and written Arabic.
Basic level of English.
Positive attitude, open to learning a new approach and ability to work as part of a team.
