Capital School Bahrain – British Curriculum International School

Capital School Bahrain is seeking to appoint a caring, committed and enthusiastic Key Stage 1 Teacher to join our growing Primary team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled practitioner with a strong understanding of the English National Curriculum to contribute to a supportive and child-centred learning environment that prioritises high standards, wellbeing, and positive relationships.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering high-quality teaching and learning across Key Stage 1

  • Planning engaging, well-sequenced lessons aligned to the English National Curriculum

  • Supporting pupils’ academic progress, personal development, and wellbeing

  • Using assessment effectively to inform teaching and support next steps

  • Creating a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment

  • Working collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and wider school teams

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Experience teaching in Key Stage 1

  • Strong knowledge of the English National Curriculum and age-related expectations

  • A nurturing, child-focused approach with high expectations for learning and behaviour

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

  • A commitment to inclusive practice and safeguarding
