Job Detail
Due to very high demand, we are growing rapidly and seek a Primary School SENCo to join our Student Support Team. This is an exciting opportunity to join our expanding Student Support Department and build on the strong foundations that have been implemented so far.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have varied experience in teaching and supporting students with a range of learning needs
- Demonstrate a strong knowledge and understanding of neurodiversity
- Demonstrate strong leadership skills and have experience in leading in an area of inclusion
- Have strong pastoral skills and experience in supporting students with behavioural, social and emotional differences
- Have experience in using standardised assessments and screening tools to identify barriers to learning
- Have experience in supporting children’s social and emotional development
- Be able to set, support and track progress against an Individual Education Plan
- Hold a recognised teaching degree with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Hold an additional qualification in SEND (desirable)
