About the School
International Rural School is a small, independent British international school located in a beautiful natural environment near Barcelona. Founded in 2017, the school has grown steadily while maintaining its core philosophy: small class sizes, personalised education, and strong community values.
We currently offer education from Early Years to A Levels and operate as a Cambridge International examination centre. Our school community is diverse and international, with families who value a holistic and child-centred approach to education.
Learning at our school combines the British curriculum with outdoor learning, arts, music and project-based activities. The rural setting allows us to integrate nature and wellbeing into daily school life, creating a calm and inspiring learning environment for both students and teachers.
The Role
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Primary Teacher who is passionate about education and committed to high academic standards within a nurturing environment.
The successful candidate will:
Teach within the British primary curriculum
Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to small groups of students
Foster curiosity, creativity and independent thinking
Work collaboratively with colleagues and families
Contribute positively to the school’s warm and supportive community
Requirements
C2 level of English (native or near-native proficiency)
Experience teaching Primary within the British curriculum
A recognised teaching qualification
Strong classroom management and organisational skills
Passion for personalised and holistic education
Ability to work in a small, collaborative school environment
Desirable
Experience in international schools
Interest in outdoor learning, arts, music or project-based learning
Experience with Cambridge International programmes
