Our long-standing, treasured principal will retire at the end of Term 1, 2026. Therefore, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a new teaching-principal to lead our school beginning Term 4, 2026.  Parkside Adventist Christian School is a delightful small Adventist school in the beautiful city of Napier, located in Hawke's Bay. 

We are excited to gain a Christ-centred, future-focused leader with the skills to manage the challenges of 21st-century learning that meets the school’s Deed of Integration Agreement's tagged criteria. The school board seeks an educational leader with a vision who will lead and inspire our school community in providing an Adventist Christian education to learners within the school community. 

Applicants will have: 

• proven leadership,

• relationship skills, 
• managerial experience, 
• sound curriculum, knowledge
• effective pedagogy. 

They will be committed to: 

• Building on the strong academic results currently achieved in the school and the good reputation held in the community
• Accept and recognise the responsibility to maintain and preserve the school's special character
• Demonstrate commitment to the school's values and its distinct motto: Growing Children for Eternity. 
• The Seventh-Day Adventist Church’s mission as a baptised member.

The successful applicant will preserve and maintain the Seventh-day Adventist special character. The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate commitment to the school’s mission and values. Furthermore, having a willingness and ability to take part in religious instruction appropriate to the special Seventh-day Adventist character of the school is a condition of appointment. 

A teaching load responsibility is also expected of the successful appointee. The position commences Term 4, 2026.
