This pivotal role supports high-quality, culturally responsive teaching and learning across our kindergartens while ensuring full compliance with Ministry of Education (MoE), Education Review Office (ERO), and legislative requirements. Working closely with teaching teams and leaders, you will strengthen professional capability, support continuous improvement, manage risk, and lead fair and timely resolution of complaints.

Key focus areas include:

  • Professional and pedagogical leadership, coaching and mentoring
  • MoE and ERO compliance, licensing, audits, and quality assurance
  • Complaints management and organisational risk mitigation
  • Supporting Te Whāriki implementation and Te Tiriti o Waitangi commitments
  • Contributing to strategic and organisational leadership as part of the Management Team

We are looking for someone who brings:

  • Strong ECE leadership experience and deep knowledge of Te Whāriki
  • Sound understanding of MoE, ERO, licensing, and regulatory requirements
  • Experience in compliance management and complaints resolution
  • Cultural competence and commitment to equity for tamariki and whānau
  • Full NZ ECE teacher registration and a recognised ECE qualification
