About This Role
Deliver high-quality instruction in the disciplines of biology, chemistry, physics, and/or environmental science. The teacher will create an engaging, inquiry-based learning environment that encourages student curiosity, critical thinking, and the application of scientific principles through experiments, research, and real-world problem-solving.
Main Duties:
Teach science subjects (biology, chemistry, physics, and/or environmental science) based on the approved curriculum and educational standards.
Prepare and deliver engaging lessons that promote inquiry-based learning, critical thinking, and scientific exploration.
Adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate different learning styles and abilities, ensuring an inclusive learning environment.
Encourage students to ask questions, develop hypotheses, conduct experiments, and analyze data, promoting a hands-on approach to learning.
Organize and facilitate laboratory experiments, field trips, and practical demonstrations that allow students to apply scientific principles in real-world contexts.
Foster a classroom environment that inspires curiosity and develops students' investigative and problem-solving skills.
Develop and administer formative and summative assessments to evaluate student understanding and proficiency in science.
Provide timely and constructive feedback on assignments, experiments, and assessments, helping students improve and master scientific concepts.
Track student progress and adjust teaching strategies based on assessment data to meet individual learning needs.
Differentiate instruction for diverse learners, including those who require additional support and those who seek advanced challenges.
Create an inclusive classroom environment that encourages all students to engage with scientific content at their level.
