About This Role

The Swiss International Scientific School in Dubai (SISD) is a distinguished international day and boarding institution, focused on cultivating confident, inquisitive, and empathetic lifelong learners. Situated in the vibrant heart of Dubai, our objective is to equip students with the essential knowledge, skills, and values necessary to succeed in an ever-evolving global landscape.

At SISD, we implement the International Baccalaureate (IB) programme framework from Pre-Kindergarten (PreKG) to Grade 12, alongside the Swiss Baccalaureate programme starting from Grade 6. We are an IB Continuum World School authorized to deliver the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP), IB Middle Years Programme (MYP), IB Diploma Programme (DP), and the IB Career-related Programme (CP).

We take pride in being affiliated with esteemed organizations such as Nord Anglia Education, the Council of International Schools (CIS), the Southern Association of Independent Schools (SAIS), and the European Council of International Schools (ECIS).

Educational Streams

SISD provides three distinct educational streams, emphasizing the development of international-mindedness, enhancing skills and capabilities, and acquiring knowledge to engage with diverse cultures:

  • IB Bilingual English/French (with Arabic)
  • IB Bilingual English/German (with Arabic)
  • IB with additional languages (French/German with Arabic) and a tailored STEAM* program from PreKG to Grade 5.

SISD is dedicated to safeguarding and ensuring a secure and nurturing environment for all students and staff, where learners can flourish. We adhere to safer recruitment practices aligned with Keeping Children Safe in Education and the International Task Force on Child Protection. All appointments are subject to interviews and thorough vetting procedures, including identity verification, online social media assessments, criminal record checks from the home and any other countries of residence, confirmation of the right to work in the UAE, and Barring & Prohibition checks.

Nord Anglia Education stands as the world's leading organization for premium schools, comprising over 80 institutions across more than 33 countries in the Americas, Europe, China, Southeast Asia, India, and the Middle East. Collectively, we educate over 74,000 students from kindergarten through secondary school.

Educational Philosophy

Our educational philosophy is built upon four pillars: creativity, well-being, outstanding academic outcomes, and global connectedness. These elements are integrated through the innovative use of educational technology, creating a personalized 21st-century learning experience for every student.

Every parent desires the best for their child, and we share that commitment. Nord Anglia schools provide high-quality, transformative education that fosters excellent academic results by transcending conventional learning. Our global reach allows us to attract and retain top-tier educators and offer unforgettable experiences through global and regional events, while engaging learning environments ensure that our students look forward to coming to school.

Each Nord Anglia Education school possesses its unique character, tailored to meet the specific needs of its community. We are unified by our ambition for our students, our staff, and our network of schools. Being part of our family provides faculty members with a unique advantage. Together, we can achieve greater success than we could individually, with access to a diverse array of resources and support to enhance our accomplishments.

We also create distinctive opportunities for our students and staff, such as the Global Campus, Nord Anglia University, and our partnerships with The Juilliard School, MIT, UNICEF, and King’s College London.
