About This Role

Who we are:

Bellver College is a non-denominational, co-educational day school. Founded in 1950, Bellver is the longest established privately owned British school in Spain. The school is currently responsible for the education of around 200 children, from 3 to 18 years-old. We cater for children of both the local community and the international community of Mallorca. Due to our one-form-entry system, the number of students in each form rarely exceeds 20.

The college is situated close to the beach (opposite to the King of Spain's summer palace) in a residential area 3 km from the centre of Palma de Mallorca. Thanks to its location and climate, Mallorca is one of the most vibrant islands in the Mediterranean, being both culturally and economically active all year round.

Bellver College is seeking an experienced, reflective, and visionary Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to lead the development and expansion of an inclusive student support program across the school.

This is a unique opportunity to build an SEN program from the ground up, shaping systems, practices, and culture in close collaboration with a supportive leadership team, engaged teaching staff, and an experienced global inclusion consultant. The successful candidate will play a key strategic and operational role in ensuring that students with diverse learning profiles are supported to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally within the Bellver College community.

The SENCO will lead inclusive practice across the school, balancing strategic program development with hands-on coordination, coaching, and collaboration.

This position is ideal for any professional who wants to gain experience in international education or someone who relishes a new challenge.

What Bellver College Offers:

ā—        A rare opportunity to shape and lead an inclusion program from its foundation.

ā—        A supportive, collaborative leadership team committed to inclusive growth.

ā—        An engaged teaching team open to learning, reflection, and shared problem-solving.

ā—        Ongoing professional learning and collaboration with a global inclusion consultant.

ā—        A welcoming international school community in Mallorca.

How to apply:

Letters of application should be accompanied by a CV, names and e-mail addresses of at least two referees (including one from the most recent school employer) and sent to recruitment@bellvercollege.com before May 31st.

Interviews will be held online at any point during the advertisement period. The school reserves the right to appoint prior to the end of the advertisement period, should they consider the candidate to be suitable for the post.

Safeguarding Statement

Bellver College is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All appointments are subject to appropriate safeguarding checks.
