About This Role
Our Salisbury team is looking for a Specialist Learning Support Teacher on a full time, permanent basis.
The Role
In this position, you will be responsible to :
To assist and support individual pupils on the SEND register by planning and preparing lessons, assessing pupil progress and next step.
To support students on the SEND register as required, including those with EHCPs

Qualifications
To be considered for this position, you must have:
Have extensive experience working with children with Downs Syndrome
Have experience working with children in Key Stage 2
Have experience working with children with communication and interaction difficulties
Be fluent in Makaton or sign-a-long
Have knowledge of effective strategies which aid children with communication and interaction difficulties
Have knowledge and understanding of the different social, cultural and physical needs of pupils
Have an interest in how children learn and behave
Provide appropriate role models of behaviour both in the classroom and around school
Care about children, but particularly those who find learning and managing their behaviour difficult
