Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in English or related field

  • Teaching qualification (PGCE, B.Ed, or equivalent)

  • Minimum of 2 years experience teaching English in a secondary school setting

  • Experience teaching British curriculum English (GCSE and A-Level)

  • Strong knowledge of historical periods, themes, and historiography

  • Experience in developing analytical and evaluative skills in students

  • Understanding of differentiated teaching strategies for diverse learners

  • Experience in using primary and secondary sources in teaching

  • Strong communication skills for engaging discussion-based learning

  • Knowledge of current history education methodologies and best practices

  • Experience in assessment and monitoring student progress in history

  • Ability to foster intercultural understanding through historical contexts

  • Experience organizing relevant trips and activities to enhance learning
