Gisborne Boys’ High School is a state, boys-only, secondary school (Years 9 to 13) situated in the beautiful seaside city of Gisborne, in the heart of the Tairāwhiti region. Turanga Tane - Gisborne Boys’ High School is seeking a passionate, inspiring Te Reo Māori and Social Studies teacher to join our dedicated Te Reo Māori and Humanities departments.
Our kura has a strong and proud legacy in kaupapa Māori, dedicated to providing an enriching environment where our rangatahi can grow, achieve, and truly succeed in Te Ao Māori.
We are looking for a strong kaiako of Te Reo Māori, Tikanga and Rangatiratanga who is capable of delivering engaging Te Reo Māori and Social Studies programmes. An interest in whakairo would be an advantage.
We have a supportive and collaborative staff. A willingness to ‘buy in’ and be part of our culture, growth, professional learning and extra-curricular programmes are integral.
The position commences Term 2, 2026.
