Ko Taku Reo is seeking a passionate and skilled Teacher of the Deaf to join our dedicated team. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a specialist setting supporting Deaf and hard of hearing students to achieve their full potential.
We are looking for a teacher who:
Has experience working with Deaf and hard of hearing learners (or a strong willingness to develop expertise in this area)
Demonstrates a commitment to inclusive, student-centred practice
Has knowledge of, or willingness to learn, New Zealand Sign Language (NZSL)
Builds strong relationships with students, whānau, and multidisciplinary teams
Is confident in adapting curriculum and assessment to meet diverse learning needs
The successful applicant will work collaboratively with specialist staff, whānau to support student achievement in line with the New Zealand Curriculum. You will be part of a supportive professional environment with access to ongoing learning and development.
