Under 2's Teacher

MARC Early Learning Centre is a community-based, not-for-profit early childhood centre seeking a qualified and registered early childhood teacher to join our dedicated team working with our under 2’s.

Our practice is guided by the RIE / Pikler philosophy, where respectful relationships, unhurried care moments, and authentic connections with infants and toddlers are at the heart of everything we do. We value calm, responsive teaching and believe that very young children are capable, competent learners when given time, trust, and thoughtful support.

The successful teacher will work within a collaborative team that values shared leadership, reflective practice, and strong relationships with whānau. We operate a primary care giving/key teacher approach, supporting secure attachments and continuity of care for our youngest learners.

We are looking for a teacher who:

• Holds a recognised ECE qualification and current practising certificate
• Has a genuine passion for working with infants and toddlers
• Understands or is interested in RIE/Pikler respectful caregiving practices
• Values observation, slow pedagogy, and responsive relationships
• Works well within a supportive, team-focused environment
