About This Role

Job Role

To support students’ academic, social, emotional, and career development across all phases (EYFS–KS5), promoting wellbeing and positive mental health within the school community.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide individual and group counselling to support students’ emotional and social well-being.

  • Develop and implement a whole-school guidance and wellbeing program.

  • Support students with academic planning and goal setting.

  • Lead career guidance initiatives, including university and career pathways (where applicable).

  • Work closely with senior leadership, teachers, and parents to support student needs.

  • Identify and support students facing safeguarding or wellbeing concerns in line with UAE regulations.

  • Maintain accurate, confidential student records.

  • Deliver workshops on wellbeing, resilience, study skills, and personal development.

  • Contribute to safeguarding and child protection processes.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Counselling, Psychology, or related field

  • Relevant counselling certification/licensure

  • Strong understanding of child protection and safeguarding frameworks

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills

  • Ability to work sensitively within a multicultural environment

  • Experience as a Careers Counsellor for Secondary school is desirable

Core Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons aligned to the required curriculum.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment for diverse learners.
  • Assess student progress rigorously and provide timely, constructive feedback.
  • Participate actively in broader school life, including extra-curricular programs.
  • Collaborate with departmental colleagues to elevate instructional strategies.

Candidate Requirements

  • A recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
  • A minimum of 2 years verifiable post-qualification teaching experience.
  • Demonstrable track record of excellent student outcomes.
  • A bachelor's degree directly related to your teaching specialization.
  • Clear criminal record check spanning the last 10 years of residency.
