Gulf British Academy is on the lookout for a passionate, skilled, and vision-oriented Secondary Maths Teacher to instruct students in KS3 and KS4 at our expanding institution located in the heart of Kuwait.

Who We Are Looking For
We are in search of a UK-qualified, dedicated, and passionate Secondary Maths Teacher who:
- Fosters strong, trusting relationships with students through engaging and supportive learning experiences
- Cultivates an inclusive, inspiring, and academically stimulating classroom environment
- Delivers exceptional Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Integrates oracy, mathematical dialogue, reasoning, and explanation into everyday instruction
- Enhances students' fluency, problem-solving abilities, logical reasoning, and conceptual comprehension
- Designs engaging and progressive lesson plans aligned with the National Curriculum and/or IGCSE
- Assists learners in becoming confident mathematicians, independent thinkers, and effective communicators
- Actively participates in assemblies, STEM programs, problem-solving events, and broader school activities
Candidates should be fluent English-speaking graduates with a UK DfE teacher number or those completing their final year of training.

What You Offer
You will be a reflective, adaptable, and enthusiastic Maths practitioner who:
- Provides high-quality Maths instruction across KS3–KS4
- Utilizes structured dialogue, guided reasoning, and mathematical inquiry to enhance understanding
- Exhibits strong subject knowledge in number, algebra, geometry, statistics, and problem-solving
- Builds respectful, supportive relationships with students and their families
- Effectively applies assessment to aid student progression and inform planning
- Collaborates with colleagues and contributes to the overall development of maths and STEM at the school
- Uses technology proficiently to support modeling, visualization, assessment, and mathematical communication
- Engages actively in maths competitions, clubs, or broader school initiatives
- Holds a clean enhanced DBS/police clearance
- Is prepared to relocate to Kuwait promptly and ready to commence teaching on 1 September
Essential Requirements
- UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – PGCE, BEd or equivalent
- UK bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or a related discipline
- Recent and successful teaching experience in a UK or BSO-accredited school
- Competence in delivering the National Curriculum for Mathematics and/or IGCSE
- Strong classroom management skills and high expectations for student behavior
- Proficient digital literacy (Google Workspace, shared drives, digital reading/writing tools)
